| Filter Buttons | The left part will set a filter on the current cell value. For example if you are at the Product column and the current value is Jacket, then if you press this button, only rows that have Product = Jacket will appear. Now if you move to another column say Color and your current cell has Black and press the button again, then the filter will be set on Product = Jacket AND Color = Black. This means you can press the filter buttons many times, each time you are adding a new value to the filter. All values are ANDed together. The middle button is mainly an indicator to whether there is a filter set or not. When there is a filter set, a green indicator appears on the button. You can use it also to reset all filters. The right button removes values from the filter. So, if you have the above filter set on Black Jackets, and press this button, Black is removed from the filter. Always the last value is removed, when you press this button. The filter is now on Product = Jacket. If you press it again, Jacket is removed from the filter and the filter is cleared. The filter button is designed to provide for fast and easy analysis of your data. Each time you change the filter, all panes are recalculated for rows in the filter. |
