Introducing SuperQuery Office Edition. The First Affordable Data Analysis and Mining Tool For Microsoft Access and Excel Users. |
Fort Lee, New Jersey -- December 9, 1997 -- AZMY Thinkware Inc., today announced the release of SuperQuery Office Edition, an important and powerful data analysis and mining tool. SuperQuery provides "data mining" - the automatic extracting of useful information from raw data. The Office edition of SuperQuery at $49.95 is aimed at meeting the data analysis needs of the millions who have data stored in Microsoft Access or Excel. Currently, Office users who want to analyze their data must create many queries, reports, formulas, totals, and graphs using existing database or spreadsheet tools. This process usually takes hours or days and requires advanced knowledge of these tools. SuperQuery offers a new and an easy solution. SuperQuery automatically analyzes Office data in a number of different ways and presents its findings in graphs, statistics and facts written in plain English. Immediately after reading and analyzing data with its Wizards, SuperQuery displays analysis graphs. These graphs show the most (or least) common values and the highest (or lowest) values in each column. As the user browses data columns, SuperQuery automatically displays many statistics about the current column. The user can click one button to set filters on different values. For example, in a sales table, the user can click the filter button to analyze sales of a specific month. The user automatically gets new graphs and statistics for that month. Just by browsing and setting filters, the user views hundreds of graphs and statistics instantaneously. Performing the same analysis with traditional tools requires (an advanced user) many hours or days to create. With one click, users can unleash the "Fact Discovery Engine", which sifts through their data and extracts useful information. Using new "Data Mining" technology, the engine discovers important patterns in data tables. For example, in a sales data table, the engine may discover that "Most sales of black jackets are profitable" and "All sales of green jackets are not profitable". SuperQuery helps the user evaluate each pattern by reporting the number of rows that support the pattern as well as its confidence level. For more technical information about data mining, please read our white paper "SuperQuery; Data Mining For Everyone" at http://www.azmy.com/wp1.htm SuperQuery contains a number of other analysis features that help classify and summarize data. SuperQuery can effectively analyze sales, finance, accounting, customers, and inventory data and discover important knowledge hidden in any business or scientific data, from stock prices and real estate to medical and engineering data. Pricing and Availability SuperQuery Office Edition is available for Windows 95 and Windows NT as a 32-bit application. The manufacturer's suggested price is $49.95.
